Hey bloggers, I have done some research on whales. This was a old activity on the summer learning journey. This article was about whales washing up on a beach. The beach was called Farewell spit. They called the beach ' A whale graveyard ' Here are some photos of not washed up whales.
Ok I lied I did show a picture of washed up whales. Locals at Farewell Spit are thinking that whales are following others and they all end up washing up on the beach. The locals say that since the 10th of February about 300 whales have washed up on Farewell spit alone. Isn't that crazy imagine if 300 people were lying on your school field, now that would be crazy. More locals say that the whales can't live without us pouring water on them. Boy would they love it when it rains. for more about whales go to this link right here. I will be posting more over the summer so stay tuned, Feel free to leave a positive comment. Bye bloggers.

Marine Metered Square Trip
Hey blog buddies, earlier this year we went on a trip down to our local beach. Waikowhai bay it was called. Maybe that is your local beach to. My Mum came to help us. We put a meter square on the sand and investigated what lived down there. Here are some photos of the day.
It was really fun, my favourite part was investigating what was in our square. However on the way back I wasn't paying a lot of attention to where I was going so I WALKED INTO A TREE, but I got over that. We entered our information into a website called MM2 which meant Marine metered squared. I hoped you liked my blog post about our investigations, Feel free to leave a positive and motivating comment, hold on I am going to be posting over the summer about the summer learning journey. Blog you later.
Pepeha time
Hey blog buddies, this week I wrote a pepeha. A pepeha is a way to introduce yourself in Maori. We did a full pepeha saying who you are, where you from, your mountain, your grand parents and so on and so on. My favourite part was doing were I am from. I took a couple photos and made a screencastify hope you like them.
The hardest part was making the toku toku panel paterns. Drawing them was very hard but they were fun to create. Writing the pepeha was not that hard.
My favourite part was writing my pepeha because I thought of my family when I was doing it.
Please feel free to leave a positive comment, bye bloggers.

Making Tote Bags!
Hi bloggers, this week was a little different. First we had a school trip down to our local beach to do some research then we had athletics and I came 2nd in high jump. Anyway I am going to be talking about our Gala Day. My class Hauraki have made tote bags to reduce the use of plastic bags. I am going to be showing you a step by step procedure. But here are some really cool photos, if you are wondering the people in the photos blogs will be at the bottom.
Time for the procedure :
How to make a Tote bag.
What you will need:
Fabric
Sewing machine
Straping
Procedure :
1. Cut two pieces of your fabric just bigger than you want the bag to be.
2. Sew the two pieces of fabric together with both patterns facing in. Making sure you don't sew all four, just sew three sides.
3. Then fold over the top about 2 centimetres down and sew along, then fold down about a half a centimetre and sew making sure you don't sew your bag together.
4. Fold your bag the right way out, then sew your straps on like this.
5. Iron everything.
6. You are done.
My favourite part of the whole process was sewing because I learnt a new skill. My least favourite part was picking fabric.
More about the use of plastic and why we should stop using it:
1. It is causing harm to sea life.
2. Plastic bags are not biodegradable.
3. Plastic bags are mistaken for food.
Help all wild life by saying no to plastic bags.
I hope you liked my blog post on The Gala day and how to sew a tote bag.
Feel free to leave a positive and motivating comment bye bloggers.

My reading slideshow
Hi Blog buddies, this week I finished my reading slideshow. You probably saw my last blog post called
" Totally wacky wild self's ". Have you made a wild self yet ???? I finished the whole eleven slides. So guess what, I wanted to share mine with you AGAIN. So here it is:
We had to complete each slide and present the slide show in a group of five or six. then we created a tittle page for our book, if you did not know my book was called crack in the sky by Kyle Mewburn. Here it is:
I all so had a cringe video of me reading My favourite part. Here it is:
CRINGE ALERT
In the reading slide show we would have to complete each slide to a high standard.
I hope you liked my slide show, title page and my video.
please feel free to leave a positive and motivating comment, Blog you later.

Totally wacky wild self !
Welcome back bloggers, this week we have been very busy working on reading slideshows. We did it on a novel we had to read. There was eleven different slides with activity's to complete. One of the slides was to create a minor character and main character. 😃 I really enjoyed making the minor character so I decided to share mine with you.
My book was Crack in the Sky and the book was very interesting, I am not going to tell you anything about it because I don't want to spoil the story. we had to read the novel fully and complete the slide show fully.
We had to describe there actions, personality and looks. Mum is very lay back and goes with the flow. she likes to help people also.
I hope you liked my work, feel free to leave a positive and motivating comment.
Bye bloggers.
