Can I build a playground?

Hey blog buddies, today we made a Tinker-cad playground. The aim was to design a playground that the juniors could play on. We were designing it for the juniors because there play ground was taken out.
Here is a screencastify describing they elements of the playground.
Do you think I should add anything to the playground?
I found this quite challenging because I am not good at designing things.
If you have used Tinker-cad then you might know the struggle.

Taekwondo time

Hey blog buddies,
On Thursday our class went to Taekwondo.
Our instructor has taught us how to kick, punch and do a lot of exercises.
This week was our kicking competition.
I looked Ridiculous when I was kicking, however my friend Caitlin won the competition.
Before the competition we did relays and my favourite relay was shoulder taping.
Shoulder tapping is when you go down in push up position and you tap your shoulders.
Here are some photos:

The last one was the photo of me jumping!
Do you like Taekwondo ?
My least favourite part is having to take my shoes and socks of in 10 seconds.
Thank you for checking out my blog.

I can build a tent?

This week in  geometry math I a made model of a tent. They had to be 3D and  have different shapes. I used  equilaterals and squares.

An equilateral is a  half triangle.

I found It very tricky because you would do something and it would collapse.

I think  it was collapsing because of the amount of clay and not a lot of tooth picks.

To make it we used the moulding clay to stick the toothpicks into and and I used more tooth picks to act as support.
Here are some photos:

To make the model  we had to use:
Plasticine clay
tooth picks
mine was very stable in the end. And I needed to use lots of toothpicks.
It was all a bit frustrating in the end. I had some clay extra so I made furniture.
I made a chair (that sort of looks like a toilet seat) under the chair I made carpet. and a bed.
If i did it again I would change how much of the clay I used and the design.
My favourite part was

A comic?

Hey blogging world a couple of weeks ago Izzy and I made a comic strip. The comic had to be about something to do with cyber smart. Izzy and I did one about E-mails since we send a lot of them.
Bing! There it is, the moral (meaning) is to be kind to others. We tried to make it simple so you guys would get it.  I found it was easy but others didn't. I found it easy because all we were doing was writing down a conversation. If you want to see my partner Izzy's blog it is Here.!

Painting the town

Hey blogging world, this week my reading group read painting the town. The book is based in Christchurch and it is about painting and making people happy. It helps people get over the things they lost in the earthquakes. This is one of the paintings from the book.

We did a personal response on the book and I wanted to share mine with you.

If you would like to see it click the link below.

Every one in the reading group had to plot down 3 points in each block.
In the response we had to include a question what we liked what we did not like, what we would changed and  so on and so fourth. My favourite part was asking the questions.

Have you read the book painting the town?

Te Waka Ako thinking hats

Hi blog buddies,  I have moved into a new learning environment with the 2 other classes in the senior syndicate. The new learning environment allows us to communicate with the other 2 classes bringing us the yellow area also known as the quiet  area. The green and blue areas also known as the louder area's and last but definitely not least the orange area known as the art area.

This  work was called de Bono Thinking Hats. I had to include information about the class room I had to include good things, negative things, and how I feel. However I found what was creative and what should I do now hard.  The reason it was hard was  because I had only been in the class for 2 days . I thought it was fun and I got to write down what I felt.
This is a link to a website that will tell you what an ILE is and what an ILE can look like. http://architecturenow.co.nz/articles/listen-up/
Our new learning block is an ILE which means innovating learning environment.
Here are some photos of the opening ceremony!

I hope you like my work please feel free to leave a motivating comment bye bloggers.

The Tooth

Hey bloggers I have been working on a slide show! The slide show is about The Tooth by Des Hunt. the story is about a boy and how his mother fell in a river trying to save her son, sadly his mother drowned and the boy survived remembering he saw a tooth of some description. The rest of the family was trying to find the tooth and they ended up finding a whole dinosaur body in bones!

I found it very hard because I know absolutely nothing about dinosaurs. I recommend this book because it is very funny yet full off facts. the book is long. But the perfect type of long for most readers.
Hope you liked the slide show. Please feel free to comment and follow me!
