Te Waka Ako thinking hats

Hi blog buddies,  I have moved into a new learning environment with the 2 other classes in the senior syndicate. The new learning environment allows us to communicate with the other 2 classes bringing us the yellow area also known as the quiet  area. The green and blue areas also known as the louder area's and last but definitely not least the orange area known as the art area.

This  work was called de Bono Thinking Hats. I had to include information about the class room I had to include good things, negative things, and how I feel. However I found what was creative and what should I do now hard.  The reason it was hard was  because I had only been in the class for 2 days . I thought it was fun and I got to write down what I felt.
This is a link to a website that will tell you what an ILE is and what an ILE can look like. http://architecturenow.co.nz/articles/listen-up/
Our new learning block is an ILE which means innovating learning environment.
Here are some photos of the opening ceremony!

I hope you like my work please feel free to leave a motivating comment bye bloggers.

The Tooth

Hey bloggers I have been working on a slide show! The slide show is about The Tooth by Des Hunt. the story is about a boy and how his mother fell in a river trying to save her son, sadly his mother drowned and the boy survived remembering he saw a tooth of some description. The rest of the family was trying to find the tooth and they ended up finding a whole dinosaur body in bones!

I found it very hard because I know absolutely nothing about dinosaurs. I recommend this book because it is very funny yet full off facts. the book is long. But the perfect type of long for most readers.
Hope you liked the slide show. Please feel free to comment and follow me!

The Anzac dog

Hi bloggers in class we read Caesar the Anzac dog. It was about a dog that went as a riffle brigade mascot to  World War 1.  He went with Tom his owner. His owner Tom was a ambulance driver.

It took me soooo long to finish, so I really Hope you like it. I have to say it was quite sad, this book
but there is a link to a very cool blog on the slide.  If for some reason it does not work the blog is called Children's War books. It is a site that  has books you can read and a whole section on Caesar the Anzac dog.
please feel free to leave a positive comment!
Bye bloggers.

Anzac Day

Hey everyone I am back. I am going to show you my writing. We had to write a recount on Anzac Day or what we did on Anzac Day. I hope you like it.
Anzac mean :
Australian New Zealand Army Corps

What did I do on Anzac Day?

“Ohhhhhhh!” I groan as I lift my head off the pillow. It was around 5:50 am but it was just Dad waking me up to go to the Dawn parade.

Just Dad and I were going to the Dawn Parade because Max, Alex and mum did not want to get out of bed.  Brrrm the car starts and within 10 minutes we are at the entrance of the Domain, now for the long walk to the Museum. Ok now we are actually there and we have the Anzac booklet.  Just in time for the service to start.

The air force cadets walk on followed by the army cadets. They stand in corners and some stand with their arms by their sides and looking at the wall of the cenotaph for a sign respect. The man starts to talk about a true story wrote by a soldier. Well that is what i think he said,  but I am not really sure.

About 20 minutes later we sing a song. I didn’t know the words but I tried to learn them as we all sang along. It was almost over and people were laying there poppies in a sign of respect for those who gave there lives for our freedom.

We are back at the car and by this time the sun was out and it was beautiful. As I step out of the car and walk into the house I thank my dad for taking me to the Dawn Parade early in the morning.

About 40 minutes later I make my Mum and Dad some breakfast.  Then I hear “Abby, Abby come outside!”  Of course it was Izzy wanting to play. I rush inside and ask my Mum and Dad if I can go over the road to Izzy’s house. They say fine you can go for an hour.

We played on  her trampoline then we went inside and played with toys. It was time for me to go home so I ran back over the road and Mum was making a hot drink so I offered to make the hot drinks. It now was almost bed time so I headed off to bed.
Today was so much fun.

I hope you guys enjoyed my recount.  I found it a little bit tricky because it was like a week  before we did it but it was a lot of fun.
Please feel free to leave a positive comment on my blog bye.
